Election Night!

I recently became a US Citizen, and with that, I gained the privilege to vote for the first time here in this country.  I was pretty excited and honoured to do so, and because NC has early voting, I cast my first ever vote as an American a few days ago.  I've been waiting for this night, to find out the results...knowing that my vote may have made a difference.  At least I hope so.   Hope everyone voted!
And so, here we have Election Weather!  It's another realistic set, and I'm really liking this one.  And a bonus cutesie set I wasn't sure I was going to post....mainly because I normally don't do cute, and wasn't sure if this even looked good.  Matter of fact, I had to search for wallpaper lol.  Thank god for Wendy! Ha Ha!

Keeping Calm

Hello everyone, it's a new month and time for new things. It's November, and that means cooler temps, Thanksgiving, and Christmas lists need to get done! Actually it's probably one of the busiest times for everyone!   I need to get moving on my shopping...eeek.
 I've made a new set in different colours and this time around, I'm going to ask for a $1 donation for the coloured versions.  I love making and sharing my stuff, but I'm finding it really hard to fit the time into making them.  And they do take time.  I'm also looking for a "real" job which is becoming more important, so I was hoping that by offering these sets for a donation it would help me out.   The original of this set I will post, but if you want any of the coloured ones, please donate and provide your email address you would like the link sent to as well as which one you would like. You will also get the matching battex if you want it:). Just let me know in the donation note.  Hope you like, I called them Keep Calm, because it's the name of my blog, and in the busy season ahead of us, we do all need to keep calm (and berry on ofcourse:))

*Just a note on these sets...these are small sets - I wanted something different, something new, and not such huge icons as we're used to. They also look better when used in a dock.. As a result, if you use the BW Homescreen wallpaper option, you won't be able to increase the size.

Even simpler

As promised here is another simple realistic set with no fancy rainbows, so maybe the guys will actually download this one, lol.  Was having trouble naming it, but since I finished while Hurricane Sandy was on her war path and wreaking havoc across the eastern sea board, I aptly called the set Hurricane.  Hoping everyone is safe and will remain safe as she makes her way where she belongs...out to sea!  As always, Enjoy.

A simpler life

So here I was sitting watching the debate thinking, oh if life were simpler :)  I know I wish it could be. In fact I wish I could turn back time ( yes, like the Cher song, lol). Well then I thought, hmm...I need to make a set that's simple, yet has a little flair.  So here it is.  It's classic, simple, with just a little colour here and there.  Hope you like.  As always, Enjoy.

October - A Time for Hope

I love October for many reasons....it's Halloween season, and more importantly, it's Breast Cancer Awareness month.  So many people affected by this horrible disease, and not just breast cancer.  I lost my mom 2 years ago to two types of rare cancer, and I wish there was more research or had been better treatment for it.  Here is the link for it Amyloidosis  and Multiple Myeloma.  Not much exposure given to the lesser known cancers, but just as important.
Having said that, I support all causes and being a woman, breast cancer is a high priority.  Inspired by the new theme Mini_Banner Live Hope br drkapprenticeDesigns, I made a battex to go with the theme. Wp also made be me and posted in wp section for both Torch/iPhone and Bold 99xx.

Trick or Treat

Well, Halloween is only a little over a month a way!  Trick or Treating (keep me away from those little snickers, lol), pumpkin spice lattes, all the yummy stuff...No wonder people love this season!  Such a fun time of year, with lots of  delish, scary, spooky stuff going on;)

No tricks here, but a couple of treats!  I know there are quite a few Halloween sets already available, but I just couldn't resist making one of my own.  Besides I have this brand new spooktackular background and banner that Wendy made for me courtesy of The Cutest Blog on the Block.  I think it looks booriffic!  Thanks, girl!

Season's Change..

Hey everyone, it's been awhile!  Went on vacation to Toronto (finally!) and then just took a break from the blog and making stuff.  Besides, I wanted to enjoy the rest of the summer and mess around with my new baby Bold:)  (well hubs got it used, but new to me!, lol).  I'm loving it at the moment.  It's a slick device and probably should have just gotten it in the first place.  But, I have enjoyed the Torch also, and it's still there for back-up or if I get tired of this one (which I doubt).  Well summer is almost over (though the temps don't say so..) and fall is upon us..Frankly I'm ready for it.  We've had a looooooong hottttttt summer, and I just want to get into jeans and a sweatshirt and well do all the fally things:)  School is back in session (Yay!), Football has started, and I'm ready for some apple pie!   New look for my blog also, and along with that...2 new sets to start the season.  One is a realistic set and one a fall themed one. I'm actually not sure about that one, but I will post it anyway..someone might like it, lol.  As always, Enjoy.
